Imagination Works presents Fixer, a darkly comedic coming of age musical. Set in a twisted high school, the show explores themes of isolation, loss and bisexual erasure through the lens of its most devious student: the mysterious Fixer.
High school is never easy, but the students of Autumn Point, Rhode Island have a guardian angel: The Fixer, an anonymous classmate who can solve any problem...for a price. Fixer is the story of Laila, an isolated genius who leads a double life as this mysterious figure. Having grown bored with her usual routine of committing academic dishonesty, covering up wealthy student's crimes, and manipulating the social dynamics of her classmates, Laila is more than ready to try something new: covering up a murder. However, things are far more complicated - and personal - than she realizes, and she'll have to confront not only her enemies, but herself.
This original musical by Jordan May features a diverse and talented cast including Mari MacDonald, Emily Zathey, Taj Crozier, Jason Wolff, Karam Habach, Scarlett Lowrie, Joshua Hughes, Jesse Manou and Drew Bevilacqua. Fixer is presented by Imagination Works and directed by Bill Reill.
